Experience — real work, with real clients
Not prototypes: systems that someone uses.
A professional internship, one product in sales conversations, another being processed with the DGAC, and teams I have led. Each in a domain where I was no expert when I started.
Experience with real clients
Aeronautical medical fitness assessment
Capstone project · being processed with the DGAC
A system that determines whether a pilot is fit, fit with restrictions, or unfit. It ingests lab and psychological exams plus real-time sensor signals (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation), reasons with a model grounded in a dataset built from national and international aviation and medical regulations, and delivers a verdict with its sources, its rationale, the risks, and referrals to specialists. Ethical decisions nobody asked for: the pilot chooses whether their data is deleted on logout, and the system refers to a specialist even when the verdict is “fit”. Six phases, from research to validation. His evaluator opened the door to the DGAC.
Case study ↗PharmIQ — a platform for pharmacists
Author · in use by a pharmacist
Shift scheduling generated with AI from the constraints the pharmacist defines; inventory with expiration control and email alerts; and a RAG assistant grounded in MINSAL regulations that answers with sources and without hallucinating. At least one pharmacist uses it.
Case study ↗Tesseract Softwares — software development
Developer · internship
Built open-source software for a video game server: stood up services, integrated components with Docker, wrote documentation, and proposed improvements. It is where he learned to produce report-grade documentation and structural diagrams — he spotted that weakness and fixed it. Attended a ProChile innovation event in the Valparaíso Region with his boss.
Virtual reality chemistry lab (3DLAB)
Scrum Master · team project
Scrum Master of a team, with a Product Owner and a real stakeholder (a professor and director of chemistry laboratories). Unity 6, Meta Quest. Goal: enough realism for first-year students to practice before stepping into the real lab. Delivered and presented at the university, praised by the stakeholder; used by ~15 people.
View project ↗Calibration script — Thrustmaster / X-Plane 12
Author
Fixed the flight rudder miscalibrations that were affecting the simulation. Small, but it is his software, used by real people.
Process automation for small businesses
Author · cancelled
He cancelled it when an equivalent product hit the market, and pivoted. Knowing when to kill a project is judgment, not failure — he includes it on purpose.
Leadership and method
I have led teams of 6–7 people with Scrum and other agile methodologies: sprints, team Git workflows, and code review. I don't just write code — I coordinate, define scope, and know when to cut a feature that adds nothing.
I spotted a real weakness: my technical documentation and structural diagrams were not up to the level of the rest of my work. Instead of working around it, I attacked it: I studied report formats, practiced architecture and flow diagrams, and made them a mandatory part of every delivery. Today it is a strength — and the reason I can technically defend any system I build.
Want the details of any of these? Write to me and we'll set up a technical walkthrough.
